Now, before I start rambling about how he was the greatest youth pastor in the whole (stinkin') world and how he duct taped himself to a brick pillar of our church and gave a sermon to raise money for missions....

...I'll skip the sap and go straight to the meat and potatoes.
"PT" makes me want to live an intentional life. Looking at the way he and his wife share their lives with people stirs my appetite to live in such a way that will be remembered. Thomas recently posted a Facebook note about leaving legacies and said this: "I have learned a thousand times and still keep having to learn again the truth that if I am not intentional and focused about living out what is most important in my life then there is no legacy."
I've thought about three things I want to be remembered for:
1. I loved my Lord with every fiber of my existence and was passionate about spreading his love.
2. I never belonged to the world but only to my Father.
3. I made other people hungry for an abundant life found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I want to challenge you to do some purposeful thinking and write down three things you want to be remembered for. Feel free to post it as a comment.
1. Remembering and acknowledging people and their significance in this world.
ReplyDelete2. Sharing Jesus to other people and being a worshiper of him.
3. Someone who knows the Bible and lives it out the way God intended for us to live.
Liz, your life makes Jesus look BIG.
