Here's to you, Mom.

For mother's day, I've decided to remember 5 memories with my mom.

1. It was raining really hard one night. My mom, brother, and I were sitting on his bed looking out the window and watching it rain. We sang church hymns. I like rain because of that.

2. I was pretty young on an Easter Sunday. There was going to be an Easter Egg Hunt at church that afternoon and I was pumped about it. My room also looked like "a tornado hit." Mom said if I cleaned my room, I could go to the hunt. If I didn't, then I couldn't. I didn't believe her. I didn't get to go. Momma don't lie.

3. I had a scary dream one night and rushed to my parents room. Mom opened up the Bible and read Matthew 6 (the verses about not worrying) to me. Can't say that I wasn't scared anymore, but I was able to walk down the hall to my room by myself when she told me to go back. It was okay. God was watching me.

4. It was about 6 AM on my 14th birthday. I had to wake up to go to school. Mom had always made breakfast for me. This time, she made a biscuit with a birthday candle. Before I could blow it out, she quietly sang "Happy Birthday." It made my day good.

5. I was 13 and was in a play that spring. I told her how people were listening to this CD in the dressing room that was really cool. She decided to buy it for me one day after she got off work. That was my first Christian CD. I listened to it every single day (NOT an exaggeration) for about 3 months. It brought me close to Jesus. Thanks, Mom.
