My Heroes

The average man has the desire to make a name for himself with whatever talents, abilities, or intellectual capacities he may possess. But an exceptional man desires none of that. Yes he may be brave, insanely smart, and inspiring, but these are very small things that average people like to blow up.  While having awareness of his gifts, the exceptional man does not even think himself worthy of fanfare or a parade because he is so enthralled with the One who made him: an infinitely creative, compassionate, courageous, intelligent, merciful, and humble Being who gives a gall about humanity.  The exceptional man is driven by the notion that the existence, salvation, and well-being of these infinitesimal things we call humans are deeply loved by a powerful Ruler of everything. Exceptional men are "simply a bunch of nobodies trying to exalt Somebody."
